Privacy Policy

The project prefers browser-side processing and clear data boundaries. Backend features should explain when files leave the device.

Data boundaries

Open Free Tools prefers browser-side processing whenever possible. When a feature needs backend processing, the page should explain that the uploaded file may leave the device and should show the relevant limits before conversion starts.

Analytics and ads

The site may use Google Analytics and, later, Google AdSense. Analytics helps understand public page usage. Future ads should appear on content or landing pages, not beside upload, play, convert, download, or editor controls.

Uploaded files

Users should upload only files they are allowed to use. Experimental backend tools should process files only for the requested conversion or benchmark workflow and should avoid unnecessary retention.

User control

The project should keep privacy language clear, update this page when backend behavior changes, and provide a contact route for privacy questions or removal requests.
